Useful Documentary for the Start of the course

Dear Geologists,

Some of you have seen some of this in class, and as there are a number of videos, I have collated them here for you to watch in your own time. The documentary is old, but is an excellent introduction to Geology and how we have come to our current understanding of the Earth and its processess. The documentary is called "Earth Story" and as ever, RHC has no control over the content of external websites, and this includes comments posted by other YouTube users, which we do not endorse when recommending clips.

Fossils, Rocks, Minerals and Economic Geology revision

Hello Geologists!

AS of today, you have a week of geology left! Cause for celebration if you have discovered Geology doesnt actually rock, but it this is the subject for your A2, never fear, we will be back in a few weeks time to start the Upper Sixth!

Anyway, before either the joyous/sad end to a fantastic first year, we have a couple more revision sessions planned, remember you can read the old ones on replay by looking at the older posts, but Monday Night will be rocks, fossils, minerals and economic geology.

On Wednesday Night, there will be a free for all last minute session, starting at 7 again, as well as the ongoing workshops next week and support through Facebook.

For the next session on monday, you can set yourself an email reminder now, by clicking on the box below, and this is where it will be, so, revise hard this weekend, and prepare for the session on monday!

Hazards Revision

An online session for hazards and hazard management from 7 till 9 weds night. You need to be able to write 7 marks at least on all hazards and how we manage them, i am working on cards to help you with this as I type (well not exactly but that would be impressive). Please let everyone else know and spread the word as last time was very effective!
